Pastors Tithing

In most Presbyterian churches the minister isn't a member of the church, but of the Presbytery.
I think this is a very good point. I think there are times in which it makes more sense for a minister to give to the presbytery rather than the congregation (understanding that some portion of funds may go to one place or the other). The presbytery is where he is shepherded by his fathers and brethren and it is where his membership lies. It seems like any hard line view that states that all giving (regardless of one's credentials or lack thereof) must take place at the local church level proves too much and is contrary to presbyterian principles.
