William Lloyd, English Bishop (1627 - August 30, 1717), was noted not only for his own scholarly abilities -- he wrote An Historical Account of Church Government as it was in Great Britain and Ireland (1684) -- but also for his involvement in the production of two other notable works: Gilbert Burnet's The History of the Reformation of the Church of England and Matthew Poole's Synopsis.
