When we think of how the nature of Christ's presence in the Lord's Supper, developed in England at the time of the English Reformation, who was more influential, Martin Butzer, or Peter Martyr Vermigli? My inclination is to say Vermigli. Some teaching I have been listening to by the Rt. Rev. Peter Robinson, and Rev. Paul Castellano indicates they view Butzer [Bucer] as more influential.
