Was wondering who first coined the 5 Solas? Was it Luther, Calvin, or did they come about just through the reformation.
My reason for asking is a Lutheran Church had a ad that says "The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three phrases: God alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone". Then they list under that:
Sola Gratia
Sola Fide
Sola Scriptura
So why would they not include Sola Christo, Sola De Gloria, did not Luther teach these?
