Credo-Baptism Answers The One Resource to Rule them All

John The Baptist

Puritan Board Sophomore
Hello my credobaptist brothers and sisters -
I just posted this in the paedobaptist only section. I would ask you guys to do the same thing, but from the other end. Please make sure you only provide one resource. You can see the other post for details.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Do you mean the Bible as a whole or particular resources within the study Bible?

I know you asked for one and only one, but if you'll allow me to suggest another resource I'm more familiar with, it's one with a short section on patristic writings as well. Like any book, especially ones that attempt to address multiple facets of such a deep topic (pun intended...), it does have its strengths and weaknesses (you can "roll over" and view the table of contents). Its a little more on an intermediate rather than introductory level

Believer's Baptism: Sign of the New Covenant in Christ

Considering your new PB ranking, I’ll allow it;)

I'm not sure what the Amazon associate thing on my post is about. I am not earning anything from that link and I clicked it from Google... But anyway it is a great book.

Testing to see if I am still earning from qualifying purchases with this post lol .... (note to self: wait 5 minutes so it won't be merged and I will be one step closer to graduating from my sophomore status) hahaha

I own and have read this one and plan on reading it again

If I recall, he covers the whole range but only superficially, making it probably more useful vs. NCT (as an example) but I am not sure I would recommend this to someone struggling with the (at times) subtle differences between Westminster CT and 1689 CT.

As I currently understand it, the difference surrounds what to do with the OT covenants after Adam (Noah, Abraham, Sinai, David) and how those covenants relate to the New Covenant/Covenant of Grace.

But, that is the subject of a different thread, which I may start at some point. That was the only book I’ve ever read on covenant theology, so I was a little lost lol. I’m sure it’ll make more sense as I learn more and more.
