Some lost posts...

I read a bunch of tickets from my web host today, letting me know that the server on which my account is hosted had crashed for a number of hours. They restored the server from a known backup.

I've noticed that some posts were lost because they were restored to an earlier point before the posts were in the database.

Chris will be disappointed to learn that I completed and uploaded a full translation of Calderwood's Altare Damascenum in that window, as well as the only know copy of Rutherford's Isaiah commentary, before throwing out my hard drive.

No doubt the best stuff members ever have written fell in that unfortunate time window.
Well, my entry in this week's football contest got eaten. Although the first few times I tried to do it last night, the site did appear to be down.

Site went down yesterday as I was working on applications. All sudden I got the timeouts and then later "Cloudfare is fine, must be the host's problem" message.

Some of mine were lost, as I posted a few extracts having not done any for a couple of days. God-willing, I will repost them later today.

I got the Cloudflare message a couple of times, but I was using a different computer that I thought that PB might not like (I always get a password security message if I use anything other than this computer, so I thought maybe an upgrade to security was blocking me). When I got back to this computer everything seemed to work as normal. Then Saturday my post wasn't there. I'm just glad it wasn't a brain misfire on my part, and my post wasn't significant in the broader scheme, so I'll just chalk it up to 'things happen'. And leaving things too close to a deadline.
