Paulus Fagius, or Paul Buchlein, German Protestant minister and highly regarded Hebraist, lived from 1504 to November 13, 1549. He was a close friend of Martin Bucer, and after their deaths under the reign of Queen Mary the bones of both men were burned, although Queen Elizabeth had their tombs reconstructed. His biography is found in Theodore Beza's Icones, pp. 87-89 (of my edition).
