I have P.Schaff's 8 Volume Chuch History, but not Neanders. How do the 2 compare? I love Schaff and find him very readable. Should I consider Neander? What other Church History resouce do you guys recommend?

I only have Schaff, but I believe Neander is quite commendable from what I hear. Sorry, I can't give you a comparison.

What is not as easy is finding readable, comprehensive history such as those men produced, for the post-reformation era--the last 300 years or so. Everything seems either narrowly specialized, or condensed into a single survey-type volume.

Thanks Bruce...;)
