Reformed Covenanter

Cancelled Commissioner
I came across a work by Jean-Frédéric Osterwald (1663-1747), but I have not been able to find out much about him. Apparently, he was from a Swiss Reformed background, but some claim he leaned towards Arminianism or worse. Does anyone here know anything about him or his views?

Richard Muller makes a few references to him in Post-Reformation Reformed Dogmatics. He sees Osterwald as comparable to his friend, Jean-Alphonse Turretin in that both were advocates of "indifferentist theology", meaning that they were indifferent to polemical concerns (PRRD, 1: 146). Given some of the things he says about Benedict Pictet (who I am reading for myself at present), I would reserve judgment about the accuracy of Prof. Muller's conclusions.
