What is the consensus on Pelikan? Not familiar with him, just his name, and the latest CHistory piece on his death.

As a Yale church historian, Jaroslav Pelikan is highly regarded. He was a Lutheran who converted to Eastern Orthodoxy, and has been honored by Bill Clinton, so that is worth keeping in mind. There are several threads about his works and views on Orthodoxy.
