Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

489 years of debating indulgences and defending the gospel. I lift a glass of pure german beer to the defenders everywhere and especially to those on the Puritan Board. :cheers: :pilgrim:

:cheers: Ich trinke Weissbier hier.

A German hymn for the occasion:

Fear not, O little flock, the foe
Who madly seeks your overthrow;
Dread not his rage and pow’r:
What though your courage sometimes faints,
His seeming triumph o’er God’s saints
Lasts but a little hour.

Be of good cheer; your cause belongs
To him who can avenge your wrongs;
Leave it to him, our Lord:
Though hidden yet from all our eyes,
He sees the Gideon who shall rise
To save us and his Word.

As true as God’s own Word is true,
Nor earth nor hell with all their crew
Against us shall prevail.
A jest and byword are they grown;
God is with us, we are his own;
Our vict’ry cannot fail.

Amen, Lord Jesus, grant our pray’r;
Great Captain, now thine arm make bare,
Fight for us once again;
So shall thy saints and martyrs raise
A mighty chorus to thy praise,
World without end. Amen.

Hey Jason, is there a particular Hefeweizen label that you would recommend? :cheers: (I know it looks like wine the little guy is hoisting but I'm pretending it's a Frambozenbier.)

Down here in Mempho, we have a decent selection of brews....as far as Hefeweizen goes, Paulaner is the standard. It's a delicious wheat and they also have a grand Octoberfest! Tire Bite has a fairly good wheat as well. I think they are out of Colorado and they have named it "In-Heat Wheat"! Sierra Nevada has a decent wheat although I prefer the IPA or the Porter. We have a great selection of the Belgian ales (Chimay, Corsendonk etc.) as well , but I would recommend trying to find Stoudt stuff. They are out of Penn somewhere and I love all of the brews I have tried. Great Stuff! Also, try and find New Belgian beer. It is out of Colorado as well (I think) and is yummy.....:cheers:

There is a reason why Scandinavia is Lutheran!!!!!

Praise the Lord for the men he used to bring the salvation of the gospel to us!!!

In Christ,
Blade
