Charles Morton, English Puritan (1626 - April 11, 1698), was a Puritan minister and educator. He opened an academy for young men in London at which he taught Daniel Defoe. He also served as vice-President of Harvard University. He was also among the signers of the 1673 Puritan Preface to the Scottish Metrical Psalter.
