I'm in the brainstorming stage of a project. Far beyond the boundaries of the Reformed churches, elements of Calvin's theology continue to shape Christian life and thought. My goal is to indicate a few seminal theological ideas in Calvin, explain them within the shape of his theology, and trace briefly how they have survived in various forms outside the Reformed churches. Chime in with any suggestions.
Here are some topics I've come up with so far:
The full equality of the Divine persons
The objective/subjective relationship between Scripture and the Holy Spirit
The threefold office of Christ as Mediator
Eternal security (as some call it now)
Grammatical/historical hermeneutic
Penal substitutionary atonement
