Calvin being called the "theologian of the Holy Spirit"

Does anyone know when Calvin was first called the "theologian of the Holy Spirit," and by whom? Was it in his day? Also, does anyone know where there are any written comments (or even documentation) on that reference (in an article, journal, book, etc.)?

I think it was Warfield in a 1909 address entitled, "John Calvin the Theologian."
