I have just found something related to the Disruption Worthies from the pen of the Irish Presbyterian, Richard Dill: 'you must permit me to say, that Chalmers, and Candlish, and Cunningham, are men dear to every right-hearted Presbyterian – men inferior to none for clear heads and sound hearts'. Witness, 15 Apr. 1846.
