A Puritan Pastor Who Discipled Men?

LeeD

Puritan Board Freshman
I recall hearing Dr. Joel Beeke over the years make a reference to a puritan pastor who would have young men come and live with him. Beeke mentions that this kind of discipleship was a fruitful part of this pastor's ministry. I thought it was William Greenhill but that seems incorrect as I've found nothing to substantiate this. Do any of you remember Beeke's references or just know who I'm looking for here?

Was it Richard Greenham (1540-1594)? He had a seminary of sorts out of his home in Dry Drayton not that far from Cambridge and students would stay. He was stepfather of Nicholas Bownd; so a proto puritan.

This may be the one. I will see what I can find about his ministry to those students online.
