    Presbyterian Polity Answers: The Nature of the Meeting of the Jerusalem Church in which the First Deacons were Ordained

    Acts 6:1-7: Hello brethren, I have a question on scriptural Presbyterian polity. In the above passage, it seems the apostles called "the multitude of the disciples" to nominate the first deacons. What is this multitude? Is this a way to elect deacons, or the only right way to go about it...

    Why are Ruling Elders and Deacons often Ordained by the Session of a Church and not the Presbytery?

    If Presbyterians acknowledge the power of ordination to be in the presbytery, why are deacons and ruling elders often ordained by sessions in many Presbyterian churches? Note: My intention is to better understand those in support of this practice.

    accessing a pdf on the pb

    Hi, I'm trying to get an article in the 'federal vision and new perspectives of Paul' section of the pb. The article name is "COMPLAINT OF TE JAMES JONES, ET.AL. vs. LOUISIANA PRESBYTERY SJC 2007-2008" but when I click it, it tells me the article doesn't exist anymore. Could an admin please help.
